Eeee! I've got 13 minutes left to be 31. Tonight I had two-thirds of my personal geek triumvirate over. Hi to Leopoldo (my 6'3" Columbian cinephile friend) and MPH & Alison. We watched "Omega Man". J made the most kick-ass cake ever, with home-made toffee crumbled on top. Leopoldo & J are still here, talking in the living room about her new laptop.

Still don't really know what I want to wish for for 32. When it came time for the cake, I basically just wished for "more". More J, more G, love, expanding with the new YL possibility (big development there that I haven't written about!), just more good things coming into my life. I don't have a big plan right now. I'm in a period of transition, so I have to ask for the merciful kindness of the universe -- show me whatever you think would be best for me. Oh, and more of my friends -- Leopoldo, MPH, Burton, Carl...

Six minutes left and J is calling me. Time to rejoin the group. A moment of emotional disorientation, not knowing what to feel about 32...
