So yesterday morning G had the epiphany that her project for PSU is going to take radically longer than she thought. We canceled one event, pushed back another. I did some errands. Went on a short walk on the Butte with her to help brainstorm through one of the trickier bits of her project.

Evening rolling around, I went and picked up another load from the apartment, solo. Went well -- got the mattress, as well as the final real pile of boxes. Went out again for a second load, and got the rest. Except for whatever tiny thangs we failed to notice, G is officially moved out.

Ah, I wish I could say she's moved in, though!

On the way back with the second load, a lamp shifted, and in trying to catch it, I swerved badly while going over the big bridge. A little while later, as I'm traveling I-84, I notice: "Hm. The car sounds different. Uh-oh..." Gets worse, gets worse...

I manage to pull off on exit 4, with just barely shreds of my rear right wheel left. Park, consider my situation. Decide that the priority is to call G and let her know I'm safe. So armed with a pocket full of quarters, I set off from 69th and Halsey at just past midnight.

Nothing but neighborhood, so I make my way to 82nd, where I find a pay phone, and a Taco Bell with a well lit lot. Call G, sit myself down on the landscaping to wait. Nice little rock surrounded by flowers. (So it wasn't all bad.) Sang myself TMBG tunes, and cradled a colored pencil to use as a weapon if anyone wanted to get crazy with me.

Had a root beer float when I got home. ...These things are important.

So guess what today's main event's going to be? Yup -- calling AAA and getting that wheel replaced. Particularly important, since I'm signed up to help Michael move down to #306 tomorrow.

Sucks that that's going to take up so much of today; today has two other significances I'd like to be focusing on. Back on March 21, I invited G to live with me. We set May 1 as our target date for getting her moved out from the other place. So, to celebrate her being officially moved in, we're going to sign the new lease, change the phone message, and go out for ice cream. Eee!

The other event: it's my unbirthday! Today I'm 32 and a half years old. G was hoping to take me on a picnic -- but with all the crazy going on, we might be limited to the special lunch that she's making me... right... now...
