Yesterday I finally managed to get up at 7am and write my morning pages. Very satisfying. Schedule wasn't all sharp-edges though -- spent some time catching up my calendar diary and updating to-do lists, too.

The highlight of the day was walking another six miles, reading another 73 pages in "Writing Down The Bones", writing two poems. Called J, since it was going to be Shabbat. Some sadness; but I think she's happy with the home she's making. They've got the livingroom clear and are going to have a big artisty drinky party. And apparently she's very busy at work.

I need to get my drill bits back that I lent Aaron, so I can put up bike hooks in the garage.

G and I went for a lovely bike ride on the Springwater Corridor Trail. We saw the sheep, which G hadn't met yet. They made funny munchy sounds in the dark. Back home, finished off the last of that key lime pie I made earlier in the week.

Two weeks left til the Lovecraft FilmFest submissions deadline. If I'm going to be submitting a teaser trailer, then I need to be organizing my time toward that goal. At the same time, I need to be putting some serious time into getting prepped for Burning Man. G & I are talking about renting an RV -- if that's going to happen, I imagine I need to make a reservation ASAP.

G's birthday: Aug 4. Our one-year anniversary: Aug 7.

Anniversary plans: Chez Machin, blackberry picking, Multnomah Falls.

Birthday...? Morning time for G to write her "31" poem. Perhaps going to Avalon for cheap video games, or the Japanese gardens. And cake. I insist. Pineapple upsidedown cake. Mmmm...

We've to the last raspberries that we're going to get off the bush this year. Trying to figure out how to use the last of them in a grand finale. G has suggested that I make a Lindzor Torte. Think I'm going to give it a shot... Need to pick up some ingredients and equipment first, though.
