That's a palindrome, yo. So, naturally I pulled out TMBG and listened to "I Palindrome I". My previous "how am I going to remember how old I am this year?" song was also TMBG: "32 Footsteps" (off of "Pink"). [Credit where due! G came up with last year's song -- and prompted me to go find the CDs tonight. Thanks, G!]
Saturday I finally redeemed a gift certificate from my 30th birthday. [...Yes, snicker.] J has given me the coolest gift ever: a life mask. We went to Saturday Market, and artisan Beverly Toyu covered my face in plaster. Of course I'm thinking "this is how they make aliens, like Chewbacca!" -- but mostly I'm worrying "Am I smiling? Or scowling, and just don't know it?" -- and "I hope I don't suffocate to death in here."
Here's a massively doctored photo of the lifemask mold. I think it makes me look like some sort of psychedelic alien. ...Which of course, makes me very happy. :-)
