Here's an early model of an Elder Thing from "At the Mountains of Madness". Understand that this is just a first draft. The spikey bits are supposed to be dangly and fluid tendrils. Then tentacles on the floor need to be more than just long cones, and they need to look like they're writhing. The head is all wrong, and looks like bowling pins to me right now. And the whole thing needs to look more organic, rather than stuck-together. ...Nonetheless, it gives you some idea about where I'm going with this project.
