Morning: chatty chair date. Plans made to dissolve joint account in January. No, not a bad thing -- simply a change of arrangement.
Evening: Lane's birthday today. Met her on Hawthorne, went to No Fish! Go Fish! instead of Oasis. Glad I thought of it -- "fish" theme, y'know. She's got a new kitten, Cleo, that occupied most of the conversation. Also new meds that make her movements less jerky. The new leg braces are less irritating with knee-high socks. [J would've come, but was baby-sitting for the Foxes.]
Feh. I've been really spotty with reporting on the advent calendar... Time to play catch-up:
Day 2: "Hurry!" says Teddy, "We've got to get ready..."
[Teddy bear sitting in a red wagon.]
Day 3: "Let's hang up soome holly / To make the place jolly!"
[Penguin with holly in its beak.]
Day 4: Don't forget the special treats-- Even Santa loves his sweets.
[Ginger bread man on plate with holly leaves, and note to Santa.]
Day 5: Time to share a warm "hello" / With every creature that you know...
[Little bird about to peck a sedate squirrel's eyes out.]
Day 6: Double check your Christmas list, Is there anything you missed?
[Elf that looks more like a gnome accountant writing on a clipboard.]
Day 7: All the world is watching, waiting, Joyfully anticipating.
[China faced doll with golden curls.]
Day 8: Everybody's helping out-- Well, that's what Christmas is about.
[Two gnome-elves standing on top of a bag of toys, handing off a trumpet.]
Day 9: When there's a lot of work to do, / It's more like fun if shared by two.
[The two gnome-elves seem to be hauling away blondie doll. Kinda creepy.]
Music... As I type, just finishing listening to "Bat Boy: The Musical". Uh. I'm enjoy musicals; this one's competent. But it lacks any good melodies. So: eh, whatever.
G started work today! I would say "yay!" -- I've been all excited for her. But there's only seven days left now (not including today) to accomplish what's estimated at 80 hours of work. Uh oh.
