Got up later than I had hoped this morning. Last night I got absorbed in exploring Lightwave tutorials on how to model human heads. I understand the principles pretty well now -- but I'm still feeling kind of clumsy when I use the tools. Need to read some more about how you use "bevel" and "smooth shift" when you're in symetry mode.
Finished the last episode of Deep Space 9 last night. I had thought there was still a whole 'nother disk left -- so it was surprising to find myself at the series conclusion. I had fun, of course, but think the episode was rather disappointing. It's hard to really be impressed by statements like "eight million Cardacians just died" when all you get for the visual is a couple of characters in a control room looking shocked at the news. Also, despite the whole arc regarding the pah wraiths, Sisko's final actions seemed to come out of nowhere. Feh.
The past two weeks have been -- putatively -- about cleaning. However, a nasty cold, relationship stuff, and poetry have trumped enough times that "I'm cleaning!" sounds pretty hollow at this point. The thing is, it's deep cleaning, which tends to make the surface look even worse. ...My big goal this weekend is to get the livingroom looking spiff. I just can't stand it anymore.
In general, I need to get a better sense of control over what I'm doing. Things have been so chaotic lately. "Sven to mission control...?"
