I'm sick. That is to say, "I'b tick". So's G. So's J, who first introduced me to the bug. A & C, who had it before her seem to be on the mend.

I had hoped to go to Unconscious Collective tonight... Plans were to get back to actual film (vs. still shots with voice-over), with a same-sex version of "Boy in Blue". However, I seem to be in a very wet and spluttery phase right now -- so unless there's marked improvement by noon, kiss it goodbye.

Woo-hoo! I got shout outs on both mph's and Leopoldo's blogs today. One relating to G5 cameras, the other acknowledging my thang for robots. Hee!

Despite being sick, I was mega productive on Monday and Tuesday, putting in 12 hours cleaning out the garage, in preparation for G's stuff to move in. Yesterday I only got in another 2 hours, paying bills and doing an errand out into Gresham. While I was out, picked up a nice little tile table for the back deck and a folding tray table (just to have on hand). Also picked up "Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again" (Frank Miller) based on rave reviews from Carl, and a copy of I, Robot.

...The store I was at only had it in trade paperback. Hate that. I so much prefer 5.5x8.5" format. May try calling around to see if I can find a better edition somewhere else. You'd think, with the movie coming out, the book would be getting republished and getting some hype. Then again, Asimov did put out something like 400 books -- how many are going to receive special attention and be kept on shelves? ...At least this one, you'd think.

So, when I got back home, I dove into a DS9 binge. Oh, there was one scene that tickled me so... Ezri and Worf are in a cell; Worf is saying "Maybe if we both got on either side of the door, when the guard comes in we could..." -- to which Ezri interupts, saying "Give it up Worf! We tried pretending one of us was sick, we tried making a tool to sabotage the door..." Oh, how I love little, loving, post-modern jabs at the cliches of sci-fi!

So, priority #1 right now is getting the house prepared for G's move in. First the garage gets cleared out, to take big furniture pieces. [Also, to accomodate J's stuff, since Pesach (Passover) is next week.] Next, get the office cleaned up and cleared out, so the calligraphy desk and art supplies can come in. If only I weren't sick, I think I could have the house essentially ready by the end of this week. As is, though, it's hard to say.
