Busy-busy week. [Not counting Monday.]
Monday: A Luxury Day, following G's trip to see the play "Fiction" in Seattle with Leopoldo [during which I busted ass to prep for the upcoming week]. I had made pumpkin pie to celebrate our 15 month luniversary the day before, which we then had for breakfast-in-bed. Started watching Angel season 3.
Tuesday: Lots of miscellaneous getting-organized work. Rob came over, and G & he went on a walk on the Butte. I prepped lunch, and put the final touches on it [faux chicken parmesan sandwiches] when they got back. Oh, domestic me! [:-D] Date (#2) with MM, following "Men Touching With Heart" massage circle. [Meanwhile, G went to a Dinner Grrrls event.]
Wednesday: Nine year anniversary with J -- breakfast at McMenamin's Kennedy school and a soak in their soak tub. [Meanwhile, G went to an interview at PSU and got hired to work with Maggie again.] In the evening, went to a production meeting for "Flesh Of My Flesh" and had a 5 minute conversation about what I know re greenscreening. Felt ill on the way home; fell dead asleep on the couch at 9pm, couldn't even be roused to go to bed.
Thursday: Went to the dentist to get this filling that fell out replaced a second time. Took G out to dinner at Assagio to celebrate her new job -- which starts on Monday!
Friday: Running around getting the studio prepped for the "Writers' Harvest Workshop". JoAnne came over at noon; we rearranged the tables I'd put out, she set up a centerpiece and some other details. Picked up tickets for the Dresden Dolls concert on Monday. Finally (finally!) got the tent from Burning Man put away. Date (#3) with MM in the evening [rescheduled from Sunday, after G got hired]. Talked queer politics, house maintenance, and music. Learned all about the theory behind tuning keyboards (the "Pythagorean comma"!) and got to play a harpsichord for the first time!
Saturday: Noon to five, the "Writers' Harvest Workshop" over in our studio space. JoAnne did an excellent job, and our space looked delicious! There's art on the walls now, and I managed to purchase and put up a coat rack the day before. An evening of rest at last... G made basil butternut chicken rustica, I served up pumpkin pie / whipped cream ramikens. Yummy all around! We watched another two episodes of Angel.
Next week: Not much better... Monday I'll take G in to her first day of work; I have a PWCL meeting in the evening -- and the Dresden Dolls concert afterwards. It looks like G will be going in to PSU every day. In the meantime, I need to be getting everything squared away for our Thanksgiving trip to Colorado. Projects I'm trying to conquer before that: getting our wireless network upgraded, researching getting G and I onto the same car insurance.
