Tired, but a productive day. Did calendar diary and Morning Pages. Went with G to PSU. Wrote a poem (#9 so far this year). Wrote YL for 4:15 hrs.

[This was actually pretty interesting: I wrote three drafts of a book outline -- each one with commentary in it that led to the following draft. I'm somewhat excited by this outline... But then, I'm always excited when I strike upon a new book idea.]

Went to a workshop at PSU called "Journaling as Journey" with G from 4-6 that was pretty neat (though disorganized). The idea was to put photos and collage bits in a big sketchbook and write there too. I do similar things already -- but I'm getting increasingly interested in moving my sketchbooks in a collaging directing. Artist's Way commands that I begin an "image file" this week; collaging is much more appealing than just starting a manila folder.

And from there, G & I went to a flick at the Hollywood called "100 bucks and a T-shirt", a benefit for the IPRC all about zinesters. It got long, but gave a pretty good sense of the sub-culture, I think. Two things it made me realize: (1) Riot Grrrls are sooo 1993, and (2) Blogger killed the zine scene star [sing it to the Bugles tune, eh?].

Puts me in the mood to make a zine myself. Or a comic. Or do an online photo exhibit. Or really anything visual. ...I guess I'm in an artsy mood.

I'm really fascinated lately by the shadows of trees on buildings. There's just something profoundly metaphorical there.
