Beautiful day. A little bright for my tastes, and cooling down now -- but beautiful. Tigger, my potted lamb's ear on the back porch, is looking lovely.
Happy day-after birthday to J, just turned 31. Spent, in essence, the whole day out with her. Took her to services at Havurrah, went hot tubbing, had Japanese for lunch, dropped her off at Aaron's, picked her up again to go to dinner. Ritually read "On The Day You Were Born" before going into the restaurant.
Dinner was at Navarre, which is nestled near to Wild Oats on Burnside. Interesting small plates to choose from... Unfortunately for me, high on oil and salt -- leaving me feeling really ill for the rest of the evening, and still when I woke.
G has worked miracles: Confessor is talking wirelessly with the airport now. Dude!!
Change of plans. I'm backburnering YL writing for a while, to focus on getting the house back in order. I've got areas of mess that have been hanging around since xmas. Bah. ...I've done this before in previous years -- taken a full month to get cleaning in order. Hopefully it won't end up actually taking that long. Yet, it's really time to establish a foundation'o'clean. We're past the point of basic maintenance.
Read through an interesting pdf on project management (via m. burton). This quote caught my fancy: "The options approach considers the way flexibility is created and destroyed through time. Optimal project planning therefore maximises the total value of costs, income and flexibility."
...Yeah. Just in terms of time-management, scheduling life, I think I've probably never valued flexibility as much as it deserves. The more detailed a plan, the better, right? Well...
