Yesterday was a good day. There was further wrestling with exhaustion -- that's a downside. But I saw "War of the Worlds" with G, which I enjoyed greatly. And I finished a rough cut with sound for the teaser trailer. [Adding sound makes a movie suddenly 70% cooler, every time.] And at 11pm I remembered that the new Harry Potter book would go on sale at midnight.

Yes, the proverbial caramel apples and puppy dogs truck has capsized.

G's off with Michaelmas at the new Mac store grand opening this morning, and then visiting a snazzy cool pen show. Me, now that I have a little more sleep in my veins, I'll be off to pick up The Half-blood Prince. ...I probably won't actually start reading it for a week or so -- but I'm so charmed by seeing the remnants of chalk drawings on the sidewalk where the line was waiting, I have to go today.

And then: back to work. Mustn't be fooled into thinking the trailer is done, just because it has music.
