Anyone who's visited Planet Sven knows I'm a time-management freak. Well, here's the latest update...
Since the beginning of the year I've been doing a "morning pages" journal, as part of the Artist's Way program. The idea is to write three pages of stream-of-consciousness first thing every morning. It's become the main event of each morning. It clears out my head and gets me ready for the new day. It helps me analyze relationships and develop new ideas. I can't speak highly enough of the morning pages concept. Love it, love it, love it.
Now I've added bits around the morning pages activity. Here's the new workflow:
1. update calendar diary [just event notes written into a calendar] = :15min
2. write morning pages = 1:15hr
3. add a new post to Planet Sven = :15min
4. check friends' blogs = ?
...Previously, I haven't had any clear schedule for posting to Planet Sven. Hopefully this new plan will keep the posts on track. The blog seems like such a good way to stay visible to one's (neglected) friends. Hope this works.
