Moved into the studio yesterday! Into the main room I moved G's key items: drafting table, brown wooden table, light table, framed art, ink bottles, blue shelving unit, the divan. Into "Sven's art room" I moved a 6' table, the workhorse computer, my stack of audio components, the electric piano -- and I got all the main wiring links back into order.

We all joked about it, and sure enough it happened... There's a chandelier light fixture that's supposed to hang over the kitchen table. I bumped my head into it plenty of times when there was a table there. Yesterday, with no table there, I ran full into it, and fell down on the floor in pain. Actually drew blood. G's been sweet, calling it my "vampire forehead" (a la Buffy).

We had an Unconscious Collective meeting last night, Leopoldo, Carl, G, and myself. We spend a bit more than an hour talking about Leopoldo's "Gashlycrumb Tinies" project. It's moving along well now. I've signed up to help out with some more film tests before the actually shoot -- now scheduled for the 22nd.

We used the remainder of the evening to do an impromptu animation, inspired by the "Snake of Terror" animation I did for my niece. Our film is called "Catch" -- two robots tossing a happy, yappy dog back and forth, while a ball sits ironically at their feet. I should get it posted to the U.C. website sometime in the next few days.

I'm beginning to get a little concerned that I'm not putting enough time in on my Lovecraft film. I really should be putting in 6 hours every day -- now, while the deadline still seems a ways off.

When G & I got back from film group, we discovered that the whole neighborhood was in an electrical blackout. What's up with that? There was another power outage just last week! ...Anyway, we couldn't pass up such an opportunity. We took a midnight walk around the dark, quiet neighborhood. So peaceful, so beautiful...

Also explored a house that's in the process of construction, creeping up the bare concrete staircase with flashlight in hand. Very exciting. This house is three stories tall, with a massive foyer. Really a mansion. We were jealous of the view. Especially the view from the water jets bathtub!

Read chapter three of "Prisoner of Azkaban", even though it was late. Little together-rituals are important. :-)

OH -- should have mentioned this yesterday... On Tuesday, G & I bumped into Andrew at the Fresh Pot. We got talking, one thing led to another, and I wound up proposing a new experimental writing group: "Write Now". The idea is that a group of us will get together at the library; spend 15 minutes writing about what it is that you want to write; then spend the rest of the time (1 or 2 hours) each writing something -- there and then. Folks can share what they've written at the end, or not.

We were talking about doing this event on Saturday. Unfortunately (and fortunately), it turns out that G & I are going strawberry picking with Philip this Saturday at noon. So, we'll have to see about setting a different meeting time. Hmm...
